- All deductions required by law will be made. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is up to $700.00 per month. If used, monthly cost of housing may be deducted from paycheck. A partially refundable security deposit of $700.00 is required, to be paid directly to employer upon acceptance of housing (security deposit, plus a non-refundable administrative fee of $50.00). Transportation: The employer does not provide transportation to/from the worksite; Employee shuttle transportation as well as public bus service available from employee housing to report to work location. Optional Deductions from Paycheck: Optional Housing deductions, optional deductions for healthcare and 401K.

Work description
Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation respectfully submits this Statement of Temporary Need in support of its H-2B Application for Temporary Employment Certification. Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation requests certification for 46 temporary Chalet-Lodging Unit Attendants for the period of December 1, 2026 through April 15, 2027. Steamboat Resort does not need temporary workers in these positions from approximately mid-April through late November each year, a span that includes at least six months (typically June through November) during which no temporary workers are employed at all. We are a successor in interest to Resort Group, LLC (EIN 84-1420748). Resort Group LLC was purchased in its entirety on March 1, 2026 by Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation and will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary. All employees of Resort Group, LLC, however, will be become employees of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation on October 1 2026. Steamboat will be the employer of record for the entire period of need. When merging the two companies, the position of Housekeeper at Resort Group LLC was re-named to Chalet-Lodging Unit Attendant. The job duties are nearly identical, although a handful of additional job duties have been added to the retitled position, but the job classification assigned by the Department of Labor remains the same. All employees of Resort Group LLC who previously fill the position of Housekeeper have been retitled as Chalet-Lodging Unit Attendant. Please note, the acquired Company (Resort Group LLC) previously filed 2 applications on an annual basis for the position of Housekeeper. One application was filed for 40 housekeepers with dates of employment from November 9 to April 24, and a second application was filed for 30 workers with dates of employment from December 1 to April 30. As such, the acquired company was previously certified and approved for as many as 70 housekeepers across these two applications, whose combined dates of employment span the current period from December 1, 2026 through April 15, 2027.
