Work description
Temporary Need Defined: Our club determines its temporary need as peakload for Food Preparation Workers through an annual business planning and workforce-capacity analysis that evaluates historical culinary operations, recurring seasonal events, scheduled food-service commitments, kitchen production requirements, available permanent employee capacity, and the additional production capacity created by our expanded kitchen facilities. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the minimum number of temporary Food Preparation Workers necessary to supplement our permanent U.S. workforce during the specific period when our culinary workload exceeds the productive capacity of that workforce. Our methodology follows a measurable labor-capacity model: Culinary workload Required labor hours Permanent labor capacity Labor-hour deficit Temporary workers required The temporary workers requested are not intended to replace our permanent employees or become part of our regular year-round staffing structure. They are requested only to provide the additional labor capacity necessary to accommodate the recurring increase in culinary production and scheduled events during the requested period of need. Step 1 Analyze Historical Culinary Operations Each year, management reviews historical operating records to identify recurring patterns in culinary workload and staffing requirements. The analysis includes: Monthly Food Preparation Worker labor hours required. Number of permanent Food Preparation Workers employed. Productive labor hours available from permanent employees. Monthly labor capacity of the permanent workforce. Monthly labor-hour deficits. Number and type of culinary events performed. Number of meals, covers, portions, or food-service units produced, where applicable. Number of simultaneous culinary events. Kitchen production schedules. Number of kitchen facilities operating. Event schedules and anticipated attendance. Payroll records. Overtime hours. Employee schedules and availability. Crew productivity and established food-production standards. Required preparation, cooking, plating, service preparation, sanitation, and post-event cleanup hours. Historical temporary staffing levels, where applicable. Management uses these records to establish the amount of labor historically required to perform our club's culinary operations and to determine the productive capacity of the permanent workforce. Historical payroll and labor records are particularly important because they provide an objective comparison between the workload assigned to the kitchen operation and the number of productive labor hours available from permanent employees. Periods of increased overtime, compressed production schedules, or the need to assign employees to multiple simultaneous culinary functions are evaluated as indicators that the available permanent workforce has reached or exceeded its practical productive capacity. Please see entire Statement of Need attached for additional information.
