Work description

Perform numerous tasks related to growing and harvesting Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Jalapenos, Bell Peppers, Tomatoes (Roma, Cherry, Grape). Plant, seed, prune, irrigate, harvest crops. Prepare the land do some irrigation, laying plastic putting tomato stakes, planting, and picking. Demonstrate good visual acuity, with an ability to identify weeds, pests, and crops ready for harvest. Stand, sit, bend, kneel, stretch and squat for long periods of time while using best practices to maintain strong long term personal health. Demonstrate sufficient dexterity of hands, arms and fingers to be able to perform the principal responsibilities of the job, including to harvest fruit; to install, position, and move materials; and to manipulate tools and equipment. Repetitively lift and carry items up to 35 lbs. Workers may also be asked to assist sort and grade produce grown by the farm at the field, or at the farms warehouse. If worker's who are considered Sorters must earn a higher wage, they will be paid the higher wages for the performance of those tasks
