Ag Equipment Operator

Work description

Worker will be performing duties related to SOC 45-2091 Equipment operators to assist with grinding hay and producing feed on the farm. Job duties will include but are not limited to: Operate loaders, skid steers, trucks, trailers, vertical mixers, hay grinders and other equipment to mix and grind hay and grain into feed. Haul alfalfa from field to worksite, load alfalfa bales into hay grinder using loaders and skid steers with bale forks and grapple buckets. Using loaders move hay into piles to be included in feed rations. Fill vertical mixer with prescribed amount of hay, grain, water etc. Attach and detatch loader accessories depending on job duties. Remove snow from worksite as needed to maintain worksite access. Operate skid steers and loaders to scrape manure/bedding and remove debris from troughs and alleys. Pile manure in designated area. Build corrals and pens/enclosures as needed. Operate equipment to clear pastures from invasive plants such as cedar trees, thickets, briars, etc which must be removed while dormant. Must speak and understand English.
