Farmworker

Work description

The seasonal agricultural worker will prepare fields for planting; attach and operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; perform planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting activities; load, unload, and transport crops, feed, supplies, and agricultural materials using trucks, augers, conveyors, forklifts, and other equipment; drive farm semi-trucks to haul crops and supplies; operate and adjust agricultural equipment; install, maintain, and perform routine repairs on irrigation systems, machinery, equipment, fences, pens, and buildings; record agricultural data; feed and water livestock; monitor animal health and administer medications and vaccinations as directed; assist with breeding, artificial insemination, and births; groom and otherwise care for livestock; herd, sort, identify, and move livestock between pastures, facilities, scales, and trucks; clean livestock facilities and equipment; and maintain livestock production, feeding, operational, and inventory records.
