Work description
Assisting with calving mother cows and heifers; processing baby calves and monitor health daily; pull sick calves and cows to medicate as necessary; wean calves; sort cattle to be taken to market and sold; assist with cattle grazing on winter wheat; Inspect, maintain, prepare, frame, repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, temporary electric fence on wheat acres; put out mineral tubs, feed troughs, and water tanks; break ice in water tanks as necessary; service and winterize irrigation equipment; assist with winter tillage; feed cattle hay and cubes; pull cattle of winter wheat when plant reaches hollow stem; driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite; must speak English.
