Work description
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Move cubes, liquid feed, hay to cattle to supplement diet; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries, calving, weaning, and breeding; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Provide mineral to cattle grazing wheat pasture. Must speak and understand English.
