Work description

We are a cattle operation in Minnesota who raises cow calf pairs and club cattle and we also have a grass stocker operation. We need assistance in the winter months to assist with the birthing of calves and making sure the cattle are fed and watered during the cold months when grazing is not available. Worker will perform duties such as but no limited to: Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Move equipment or livestock from one location to another, manually or using trucks or carts. Perform duties related to livestock reproduction, such as breeding animals within appropriate timeframes, performing artificial insemination, and helping with animal births.Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Maintain water tanks and systems to prevent freezing or repair when necessary Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: clean work areas, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: skid steers, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle. Speak and understand English.
